This Applied Analytics Analyst role will give you access to market leading data tools and technology solutions, working alongside the finest in the industry.

This is an opportunity to join an innovative multi-disciplinary function working with cutting technology to deliver products that solve real business problems – agile, creative and solution driven individuals that want to use big data, analytics and machine learning to detect and prevent financial crime. The Applied Analytics team is responsible for the engineering, industrialisation and delivery of analytical products to help mitigate financial crime in all global territories the firm operates in, and covers Anti Money Laundering, Fraud and Anti-Bribery and Corruption.

As a lead analyst you will worked closely with stakeholders and other functions within FCR Analytics to develop innovative and actionable models which help to manage financial crime risk. The solutions delivered need to manage risk effectively, be commercially focused, scalable across their many markets and lines of business and stand up to the rigors of internal and external scrutiny and review.

We're looking for (detailed spec available):
A background in analytics, big data, software engineering, devOps or data management we'd love to hear from you.
Degree level educated (or relevant work experience) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or any other quantitative discipline
Advanced analytical techniques e.g. regression analysis, predictive analysis, data mining, machine learning
Experience of one or more of the following: SAS EPM, Python, Spark, SQL/HQL,R, Scala, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) , AWS (Python would be ideal)

This is a new role in a growing global function so you must be able to work comfortably within a fluid and developing environment. You'll need considerable entrepreneurial spirit to identify and realise opportunities and as the data you'll be exposed to is sensitive, and therefore risky, information, you'll need to exercise sound judgement in working with it.
