Our client, a large savings and investments firm, is significantly growing its presence in Edinburgh as part of an exciting business transformation. To mirror the change in the wider business, Internal Audit is looking to grow its team in the city with a commitment to build a talented team at all levels, up to Head of Audit.
We are looking for candidates for a new Technology Audit Manager role in this team. As a key leader in the function you will have the opportunity to build relationships with senior stakeholders, learn quickly at the heart of the change activity, take responsibility for a varied and interesting portfolio of audit work and be encouraged to spend time with your team to help them develop and improve.
There is a lot going on. This makes it interesting and exciting, but at the same time means that you would be dealing with uncertainty and challenges on a day to day basis. This wont suit everyone but will provide unprecedented experience for the more ambitious candidates! At the same time, this is an organisation with a fantastic reputation for supporting the professional and personal development of its staff, as well as being committed to providing a range of flexible working options.
Aside from being confident that this is the sort of environment in which you will thrive and make an impact, candidates are expected to have the following skills and experience:
Strong, current technology skills and knowledge in a broad range of areas including digital, CRM and cloud based technologies.
An understanding of and experience working with information security frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, among others.
Confidence when dealing with challenging stakeholders, presenting audit findings, and leading by example.
Proven ability to lead risk based and complex technology audits (across infrastructure, applications, security and possibly change), delivering high-quality and value adding assurance work.
Have an in-depth understanding of internal and external auditing techniques (including risk assessment, audit scoping devising testing approaches and completing IT controls-based auditing).
Experience in the insurance, investments or wider financial services sector (including banking).
If this sounds like an opportunity that interests you and you genuinely believe you have the right skills, experience and attitude to be successful please get in touch.
