Auditor – EDINBURGH

A rare opportunity to join a recently established Internal Audit team at a fast growing FinTech business.

We are working on a really interesting FinTech Internal Audit role, based in central Edinburgh. Our client operates in the business payments sector and is creating a real stir. The have been growing quickly, innovating in the services/products they offer, attracting investment from leading global tech companies and also getting recognised as a great place to work.

They have relatively recently set up the IA function, having hired a Head of Internal Audit in 2020 to establish the team. They are now looking to grow the team and are looking to bring in someone with a strong audit/controls background, at Auditor level, to help deliver the plan, as well as help shape and embed their approach, methodology and tools. It's a great chance to get in at the ground floor in a fast growing, vibrant and interesting organisation. A rare opportunity for a dynamic audit/controls professional.

What is our client looking for?

Good audit track record – assurance/audit/controls background
Knows what IA is all about – can articulate the difference between IA and EA/2nd line assurance
Commercial awareness – appreciation of the bigger picture and where controls/assurance fits in a commercial framework
Very good interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication
Appreciates/understands the key risks associated with a start-up organisation
Comfortable operating in a fast paced/agile environment
Stakeholder management is critical – skilled in influencing and persuasion
Great team player
Some technology experience would be great but not essential
