This is an exciting opportunity for a proven Head of Security Operations to join an ambitious business undergoing significant change, playing a pivotal role in a large-scale multi-million pound security transformation programme and developing a high performing Security Operations function. Reporting directly to the CISO you will have a broad remit and sizeable team under you, including the SOC, Threat & Vulnerability Management and Detection & Response functions.

Key responsibilities include:
• Delivery of Security Operations services across the organisation.
• Engagement with the wider business to understand the risks and threats and use this to inform requirements for the Security Operations Centre.
• Development of a hybrid SOC with the people, processes and technologies required to detect and respond to sophisticated cyber security threats across all technologies
• Driving cultural change to ensure that detection and monitoring is a key consideration when new applications, services and infrastructure are developed
• Collaborating with cyber strategy and architecture functions to maintain an ongoing Security Operations strategy to align with business objectives.

We're looking for significant experience and understanding of cyber security, preferably including:
• Designing and building SOCs.
• Using cyber security frameworks.
• Working within threat and vulnerability management and detection and response functions.

As well as:
• Strong operational delivery capability, internally and via 3rd party providers.
• Strategic vision to provide leadership and direction to develop best in class Security Operations capability.
• Significant collaboration and stakeholder management across the organisation.
