This role is accountable for leading and directing the quality of the ongoing Operational Risk management activities to identify risks associated with Change Management activities and Implementation across both the annual Change Portfolio and Business initiated change.
The role will follow a business partner model but with a specific focus on the identification of risks associated with the delivery of Change; responsible for supporting, and challenging, the Chief Operating Officer, and the Change functions, management of these identified risks to ensure they are robustly controlled to mitigate any impact from internal or external vulnerabilities.
Skills and experience sought:
The role requires a sound level of technical knowledge across all areas of Operational Risk, Change Management, retail banking and finance in general. This needs to be complemented by an awareness of the environment in which the Bank operates (economic, organisational and strategic) and the ability to generate high quality written output.
To operate at this level and fulfil expectations the role holder must be able to communicate clearly and effectively (regardless of subject matter or technical difficulty) across a range of senior stakeholders. The ability to facilitate change and demonstrate high calibre influencing skills will be key for the individual to be successful in role.
