This is a fantastic opportunity to join a developing team in a leading challenger bank for someone with SQL or SAS experience (and ideally AML experience or a desire to learn about AML!). The role sits in the systems team who work very closely with the FC Advisory team. There is ongoing change to enure this team is at the cutting edge of best practice and you'll get to input to this. You'll have responsibility for an analyst.
What Youll Be Responsible For:
Maintain AML Transaction Monitoring processes to ensure the Bank remains compliant and mitigates risk of criminal activity or regulatory censure. Line management of a Transaction Monitoring AML analyst – setting objectives, assisting with development plans, carrying out 1-2-1's.
Identifying as well as addressing and mitigating identified AML and Transaction Monitoring Risks.
Complete TM activities including updating / creating / maintaining TM Rules.
Lead / conduct tuning exercises to optimise existing Transaction Monitoring rules to prove they are fit for purpose and identifying any gaps.
Set up TM configuration and settings using FCRM.
Impact assess all rules prior to their implementation into Production and take remedial actions when necessary.
Develop and interpret daily / weekly & monthly MI reports.
Monitor overall alert rates – investigate and maintain alert volumes within accepted norms.
To work with Financial Crime and Bank colleagues to keep knowledge relating to AML legislation and regulatory changes up to date. investigate and deal with any ad hoc queries arising from operational channels.
Be a TM SME on projects, any AML issues and initiatives.
Design TM Rules on the back of new products and / or Risk Assessment.
We're looking for:
Proven experience of Transaction Monitoring Rules, Tuning & Systems.
Deep experience of FCRM or equivalent.
Deep AML knowledge both current and industry horizon threats.
