This high profile Challenger Bank, is looking to recruit a Technology Assurance Manager in the CIO Risk team, focussing on bank-wide technology risk and controls. This is a pivotal role providing guidance and advice as well as challenging the business, and providing specialist SME support to enhance the expertise in this specialist, experienced team. This role will involve developing and maintaining relationships at Executive and Board level, and an important appointment for our client, a well regarded bank bringing a fresh approach to banking. They have a packed change agenda and this is a great time to join!

You need good people skills and be able to have a robust conversation based on technical expertise and experience, but also have a pragmatic view point that considers the broader context in which the Bank is operating.

Your role will include:
• Identifying,risks, ensuring they are effectively managed and escalated to senior management where necessary.
• Ensuring relevant and effective controls are in place to mitigate the risks associated with the team’s activities and outputs and make sure these controls are regularly tested.
• Delivering Technology Assurance reviews through formal methodologies/approach
• Assessing suite of Technology controls in place to detect, prevent or mitigate risks
• Quality reporting detailing agreed actions and follow up activities
• Assessing the embedding of remediation actions to ensure controls are working effectively
• Oversight of Technology submissions including Scheme Certificate Attestations, Due Diligence, Regulatory compliance
• Testing of key Technology Controls.

We're looking for:
• Five years + technology control assurance experience
• Understanding of regulatory, legal and compliance issues affecting financial services industry
• Practitioner level knowledge of risk management frameworks
